We protect your data like it’s our own
Effective date: October 14, 2025 • Version 1.0
Veteran Verify is building a faster, simpler way for veterans to privately prove service — and for vendors to verify eligibility without friction. Privacy and security are foundational to that mission. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we secure it, and the choices you have.
Real talk — why this matters
Hey — you actually clicked the Privacy Policy. That means you’re curious, smart, or both. Either way, thanks for reading what I wrote with veterans in mind.
The short version: I’m trying to build something better for veterans and vendors. Too many “gatekeeper” companies gained access to government data and now keep it behind lock and key. They decide who gets to integrate and how much it costs — and those costs roll downhill to small shops and, ultimately, to customers.
Veteran Verify is our workaround: a more private, more respectful, more secure way to verify service — without forcing veterans to hand over sensitive documents at every checkout or create yet another account. When you share info with us, you’re doing it voluntarily and with trust. We take that seriously. No system is 100% impenetrable, and anyone who tells you otherwise isn’t being straight. What we can promise is to use modern security best practices, keep data collection to the minimum necessary, and continuously improve.
Why I started Veteran Verify
This project began with Freedom Crate Co. — my shop where I build wooden ammo boxes, keepsakes, and range crates. I run a veteran-only giveaway and needed a simple, private way to confirm entries truly came from veterans.
When I asked the big verification providers for help, I was told my business was “too small.” That didn’t sit right. So I started building a system that any veteran could use and any vendor could drop into their site — no gatekeeping, no inflated fees, and no invasive data grabs.
Veteran Verify is the result: a respectful way to prove service quickly and privately — so veterans can access giveaways, discounts, and benefits without jumping through hoops.
